Three moths later and I never thought I would be so happy to be going home again! Even if it was just for the weekend. Meg and John are officially hitched! It was so great to be back in the arms of my family and to celebrate the two people who make me know soulmates are real. It was an outdoor wedding in the Laurence's backyard under a chuppah my father carved. I served as maid of honor and smiled through every god forsaken Pintrest picture Meg forced us to take. A crew of Nascar's fastest pit stop workers came to break down the ceremony set up and assemble the tent, dance floor, and lanterns that transformed us into the fairytale reception. Personal highlights of the wedding include great aunt March indulging in too much punch and hitting on the bus boy for 4 hours. Personal letdowns: Teddy tried to have the "talk" with me again and there was no avoiding it anymore. I love that boy to death, but just not in the same way as he wants me to. I know we will be Teddy and Jo again, but I think I have to have some time without my best friend.
Also I have been noticing Beth's mood recently. She is always quiet but never solum. I am worried for her and worried that no one has noticed whatever she is locking inside. It is so easy to get caught up in our own woes that we forget who we leave behind. Marmee and I were on the same page as this isn't the first time Beth has kept her demons to herself. Never ignore those calling out. Check out more info on depression at http://www.helpguide.org/depression.
